Trump Threatens 100% Tariffs on Canada Over Potential China Deal


Former U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that he would impose 100% tariffs on Canadian goods if Canada moves forward with a trade or economic agreement with China, escalating rhetoric around global trade and U.S. economic interests.
In remarks that quickly drew international attention, Trump framed the potential tariffs as a defensive measure to protect American industries and national security. He argued that any deal between Canada and China could undermine U.S. economic strength and give Beijing greater influence in North America.
