Serbia committed to further developing relations with Somalia and respecting its territorial integrity and sovereignty

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs @markodjuric met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia Abdisalam Abdi Ali to discuss issues of bilateral interest as well as current geopolitical topics.

Djurić expressed gratitude for the African country’s support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, while emphasising that Serbia also fully respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Somalia.

The Minister informs his counterpart about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, its exceptional importance for Serbian people not only in a territorial sense but also in historical, state-building, religious, economic and political terms, as well as about its geopolitical consequences in international relations.

Both sides highlighted the necessity of respecting international law and the principles of the Charter of the United Nations, without creating dangerous precedents.
