U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a potential agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been “largely negotiated,” though he emphasized that the deal remains subject to finalization.
In a statement shared on Truth Social, Trump said the agreement involved the United States, Iran, and several other countries participating in ongoing diplomatic discussions surrounding regional stability and peace efforts in the Middle East.
“An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed,” Trump wrote.
The U.S. president added that final details of the proposed deal are still under discussion and are expected to be announced soon. Trump also indicated that the agreement could include the reopening of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route for oil and energy exports.
The announcement follows a series of high-level conversations between Washington and regional leaders amid growing international attention on tensions in the Middle East. While the framework of the agreement has not yet been officially disclosed, reports suggest negotiations are focused on reducing hostilities and stabilizing the region.
