Mbappé Has Never Rewatched 2022 World Cup Final Defeat

France captain Kylian Mbappé has revealed that he has never watched the 2022 FIFA World Cup final again following France's heartbreaking defeat to Argentina in Qatar.

Speaking to Sorare, the Real Madrid star admitted that revisiting the match is something he has deliberately avoided.

“I did never rewatch the 2022 World Cup final. Never,” Mbappé said.

The French forward explained that watching the game again could bring back painful memories of the loss.

“If I watch it, it might awaken some demons. We have to move on. We lost,” he added.

Mbappé delivered one of the greatest performances in World Cup final history, scoring a hat-trick as France fought back from a two-goal deficit before eventually losing to Argentina on penalties. Despite his individual brilliance, the defeat remains a difficult chapter for the 27-year-old, who says he prefers to focus on the future rather than revisit the disappointment of that night in Doha.
