Araghchi Accuses France of Hypocrisy Over Human Rights



Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has sharply criticized France over its statements on human rights and international law, accusing Paris of hypocrisy in its approach to global affairs.

Araghchi said France should stop “lecturing the world” about human rights and international law, arguing that its own conduct undermines the credibility of such criticism.

“The hypocrisy is blatant and embarrassing,” Araghchi said, in a pointed response to France’s stance on international issues.

His remarks highlight the growing tensions between Tehran and European governments, particularly over disputes involving international law, human rights and France’s criticism of Iran’s policies.

The comments are likely to further deepen diplomatic tensions between Iran and France as both sides continue to clash over their respective positions on international affairs.
