Strengthening the role of women in security: A new batch of female police officers graduates after a 90-day specialized training course.
Minister of Internal Security, H.E. @Senfartaag, today concluded a specialized 90-day training course for female police officers, marking an important step in strengthening the role of women within Somalia’s security institutions.
During the graduation ceremony, the Minister commended the determination, discipline, and professionalism demonstrated by the trainees throughout the intensive program, which focused on enhancing operational skills, law enforcement techniques, and ethical conduct. He highlighted that empowering women in the security sector is essential to building inclusive, effective, and community-oriented policing.
H.E. @Senfartaag emphasized that female officers play a vital role in maintaining public order, protecting vulnerable groups, and fostering trust between security forces and citizens. He urged the graduates to carry out their duties with integrity, responsibility, and a strong commitment to serving the nation, stressing that their contribution is key to reinforcing national security and the rule of law.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment from the Ministry to continue investing in capacity-building programs that support women’s participation and leadership within the police force.
